General Information

Hours of operation for 2020 vendors:

Vendors have until 9 AM to restock their concession.
Dedicated parking is NOT provided for vendors.

Vendors must be open and prepared for service for ALL hours of operation as listed above; there are no exceptions. 

NSF cheques are subject to a $40.00 processing fee. We are unable to accept payment by credit card.

The International Children’s Festival is a GREEN festival. Recycling bins will be placed throughout the grounds and all vendors may NOT use styrofoam or tinfoil of any kind on festival grounds.

Agreement

Our requirements and expectations for Food Truck Vendors are outlined below. By selecting “I AGREE” below, you agree to the following:

  1. All vendors will be confirmed with The City of St. Albert, Community Services Department ten (10) working days prior to the event set-up.
  2. In the interest of public safety, all Vendors are required to adhere to the City of St Albert’s Drug and Alcohol policy. Zero tolerance is strictly enforced; failure to comply with standards may result in ticketing and/or closure.
  3. All vendors selling food items must comply with all Alberta Health requirements (view requirements under the Safety Codes Act for Mobile Cooking Operations) and have the appropriate licensing, including a food handling permit, in place.
  4. Due to setup/teardown and site maintenance requirements, all food vendors must use trucks, trailers or carts. Tents are not allowed in any capacity including annex or overflow storage areas.
  5. All vendors' vehicles, equipment, etc., are required to be approved by a recognized Certification Agency or a Field Evaluation Agency accredited with the Standards Council of Canada.
  6. City of St. Albert does supply potable water; however, gray water collection is limited. Vendors must have their own holding tank; additional grey water disposal needs will be assessed upon acceptance to the Festival.
  7. Vendors are prohibited from depositing grease or wastewater directly into the City's storm sewer. Offenders are subject to prosecution and wider City By-law and/or Provincial or Federal legislation.
  8. Not all applications may be accepted due to limited space on-site and menu duplication. You may be asked to modify your setup and menu to avoid these constraints.
  9. Successful vendors will be assigned a location based on preference when possible. We cannot guarantee returning vendors will receive their same location.
  10. The Festival reserves the right to terminate vendor agreements if we feel the vendor has not fully complied with the rules and regulations of the Festival. In that case, the vendor will not be entitled to any fee reimbursement. Fees will be retained as liquidated damages and not as a penalty.
